GEOG 1300 Introduction to Geography.
Credit: 3 (3 lecture)
Introduction to the concepts which provide a foundation for continued study of geography. Includes the different elements of natural environment as related to human activities, modes of living, map concepts, and both physical and cultural geography.
GEOG 1301 Physical Geography
Credit: 3 (3 lecture)
Basic physical elements of geography, maps, weather and climate, and natural resources.
GEOG 1302: Cultural Geography
Credit: 3 (3 lecture)
A survey of the cultural diversity found on earth. Topics include population, language, religion, ethnicity, and popular culture, with a special focus on spatial attributes and expressions of culture
GEOG 1303 World, Regional, and Local Geography
Credit: 3 (3 lecture)
Study of major world regions with emphasis on prevailing conditions and developments. Including emerging conditions and trends, and awareness of diversity of ideas and practices to be found in these regions. Core curriculum course.
